Neat colourising - and not a gutter in sight ;)
nice photo, I think that it is possible that there is a gutter front and back, the original gutters where wood and were painted. At the back it appears that the gutter extends and there is a down spout, there could also be a down spout at the far end of the front roof.
Mick It is always known as Bonk Brew. It's bloody hard trying to get up there on your bike.
If you walked passed these cottages the farm house at top o't bonk my Auntie lived there. I used to go and stay there when I was on holiday. While my Mum and Dad worked. I think years ago my uncle's family owned some of these cottages.
I have always known it as Bonk Brew myself Ann21.
It can be hell on a pushbike - it's that last little bit at the top, where the road gets steeper, and starts bending to the right.
I lived in the 3rd one along from the nearest one when I was a kid, yes only one downspout front and back, and a single 4" sewer pipe served them all, needless to say it was regularly blocked!
My dad Eric Sixsmith used to cycle down bonk brew with no brakes. Needless to say not much traffic back then !
