The adjacent building was Olive Kirkam's wool shop.
Who remembers catching the bus for Chorley GS just a short distance further up Preston Rd?
I remember playing in old army wagons which were just over the new brickwall on the right.they belonged to finches corn mill which was behind the Chorley bus stop .
Keith, i remember catching the bus to Thomas Linacre directly across the road from Joe Hunters, yes the bus stop for Chorley was in front of Finch,s corn mill, 50 yards down the road from Hunters.
Amazing photo Keith, I certainly never thought I'd see this shop again. Bought all my bike bits from here, a real Aladin's Cave. Old Joe was quite a character
I remember coming here in the 60's. Nancy, the woman who looked after me would bring me on the bus. A very small and quiet place.
