All these places bring back memories. I used to go with my Grandpa to an office in the Wiend, were the Observer newspaper offices up there back in the 40's ? I used to sit on a high stool while he talked to men behind the desk. I think he was delivering something he had written.

I still have clog irons that I bought from a shop to the right of the camera in 1970's.

The gentleman on the left of the picture is my father Ron Heaton who took over "Harry Jones" outfitters circa 1965.

The Wiend is a narrow street with quaint little shops, reminds me of the Shambles in York.
