Great pic. Tom I lived in Templeton Rd. from 1970 to 1995,nice to see the old Platt Bridge Legion and Harry Taylors woodyard down the tramlines. On the right it looks like the back end of the chemist or Browns wall paper shop.
The building just behind and to the left of the bus was a pumping station for sewerage I think... or some other water treatment. When I was very young, this would make one hell of a racket at various time throughout the day. You can just see the outline of a pressure tank along the wall. I can also remember the massive tree that stood there, not sure what kind it was... but it was huge.
My best mate and his wife lived in the end house by the bus in the late 70s early 80s. We had some good drinking sessions in there.
if you was standing there today what would you see,at the side of the houses would u c the council office then abit from that the little water works then iceland car park ??
sn, yes you are in the right spot, this road leads to the Iceland loading bay
