No idea what year this is but these houses are near the crown in new springs. They have been completely renovated now but were used for 17th Wigan cubs in the 70's.
At last!...17th Wigan recognition!

17th wigan was around back in the early 70s. i remember it being a very full cub/scout troop. lots of local lads in it.

My Dad Bill Burgoyne was a scout leader here for many years

debra , didn't you used to live in the terraces near st john school lower down from the scout hut? years later I went to horwich college with your Stephen.
I was born in 1948 and lived in Chapel Street, Aspull, my grandmother lived in Crown Street, New Springs, which has been demolished. Can anyone tell me where Crown Street was? Was it where the Crown Inn is?
