Wigan Album

This is the site of the casno club, I was a regular in the 70`s at the allnighters.Had heard a shop was built after the casino was knocked down.In 2000,I returned to Wigan on business and had a walk around the town on the casino site at the time were portacabins n use as a libuary . Allways thought at the time on my many visits to Wigan, it was a much better town than my home town of Woverhampton.Thanks to Wigan I developed a lifetime love of northern soul.I curently live in Looe in cornwall whenever I hear the town of Wigan mentioned I allways have great memories of brillient venue and town thanks.

Me too. Wigan Council have just held 50th Anniversary of WC celebrations including a massive darkened room with dancefloor, NS juke box , larger than life pics of dancers from 2011 and a music video projected large on screen. I took root and danced to all 100 tracks over many days.
Really was a credit to the council. NS is well and bouncing round here. Dunno if Looe has discovered it yet/ only 50 years since Casino's 1st niter...ha ha ktf bro
