This is Albert age 11 playing for Parr Public I know your going to say what is a St Helens band doing on Wigan World but it is the boy and the Trombone I wish to highlight this belonged to our Dad who was killed during the second world war when I was 4 weeks old

My word Burt, You dont half look young from when you played with North Ashton, I think the last time i saw you , you were sitting in your Poice car near the Skitters rd off Lowbank, must have been 1971-2

Parr Public - did this have anything to do with Redgate Boys band?

Parr Public was totally separate from Redgate boys there was also another band in St Helens called Parr Temperance Band sadly Redgate boys was disbanded when there band hut was destroyed by arsonists and they couldn't afford to rebuild
