Fred, the car nearest the camera is a Standard Vanguard and the one behind it is either a Vauxhall Wyvern /Velox or Cresta. Don't think it's a Cresta as they were usually two-tone.
Car on the left is a Austin Cambridge A55,(1957-58) the car on the right is a Vauxhall Velox (1951 - 57) and the car at the rear that you can just see behind the Austin is a Hillman Minx Mk VIII (1955)
Shall we call the one behind the scooter Harold and the dark one Philip
vespa scooter motorcycle ???
So I suppose the scooter's got to be Lizzie, and the pram Lucy. Sexist!
Derek B I stand corrected ,the car is a Standard I was going off my memory that the badge on the side of the bonnet said Austin of England, but Googling photos of a Standard you are right. The other car is definitely a Velox although other models of this make had an enclosed rear wheel and the chrome trim went the full length of the bodywork
Front right is a tansad.
You're right about the tansad Jimmy, but I think nowadays you have to say a buggy.
There must have been a rush on Anoraks in the Market Hall this week !!!!!!
Could be John Heaton batting hell of a job getting him out!
The half motorcycle to the left, Raleigh Runabout ?
The "motorbike" is an "Autobike" (with pedals), maybe a New Hudson 100cc 2 stroke engine, or similar
You're probably right Art. I wasn't sure about the mainstand under the rear wheel. What do you make of the bikes in the picture ' Abram North ' ?
And maybe this thread is becoming a tad sad...
Each to their own
John Heaton still batting?
