The buses actually look upset and dejected. Probably know what fate awaited them.

The withdrawn buses at the Hindley LUT depot are three NNB H Mancunian Atlanteans, three ex Wigan KJP J Atlanteans, two NEN J ex Bury Atlanteans, and the single deckers are WTD H or DTC J LUT Plaxton bodied Seddons.
