I remember singing in this club one saturday night in the early eighties, following me, there was a "mystery artiste" booked for 11 o clock.. it was Doddy.. and paid cash in hand. he was given quite a bit more than I got too...

Anyone know why this place closed and was demolished?. I bet it was a popular and convenient club for locals living on Liverpool Rd.

Don't know but I loved it!

Remember going there in the 90s early 2000's with my family and my nan for a sunfay roast, really good food! Miss the place

I was once in a band that backed 'Doddy', he came on at 9.30 and was supposed to finish at 11.30, he was still going at 12.50. Unlike many comedians where they are played on and the band can then leave the stage to return at a pre-determined signal, with Doddy we were there all night because he littered his act with songs.
