After a derailment at Springs Branch, the Bickershaw colliery engine was sent to return the wagons not derailed to the colliery. Seen hear on it's way back to Bickershaw, at Platt Bridge. 21 August 1973.

I think there were two of these types of engines at Bickershaw colliery, one was Huccaine and the other Rodney or Warrior as I said I think.

Thanks Tom.

I think you mean hurricane.

Bickershaw had diesel shuntters if memory serves me right.

No brake/guard van?

The trucks seem to be loaded with coal, so it must be heading towards springs branch I would say.
