Some of the Platt Bridge Inn regulars take their drinks outside to watch the Walking Day parade... I *think*.

The gent in the green shirt, tan jacket and smoking the pipe is my uncle, George Miller. I recognise a few other faces but no names. Date unknown. From my Aunt Esther's collection.

I remember Dennis's Uncle George and Arthur Jones, also the man next to Arthur with the cardigan although I can't remember his name. The man in the dark suit going into the pub was "Cis" Sumner.

Everyone knew Arthur in pubs and clubs in Platt-Bridge, a real character. Top pit worker on our shift.

Josie... I am a Platt Wazzer born and bred. I went to St. Nat's Infant and Junior, and then Moss Lane (and Spring View). However, I did know a Geoff Pennington, who was a bit older than me. (I am 52). There was a photograph of him posted in the album... Street Scenes->Platt Bridge->Item 13806

My dad was Arthur Jones holding the pint wearing the white strip cardigan....he loved to go out for a few on sundays and remembering the good old days of the pubs in Platt Bridge. Arthur Jones (my dad) passed away in Sept 2005.

Angela and Jemma, my Mam and Dad used to live round the corner from you in Croal Ave, (Bob and Tizzie Griffiths). It must be lovely for you to see this photo of your Dad; many people will remember him. Hope your Mum is ok.
