His girls are going to send me hid darts when they come across them

Comment by: fred foster on 3rd November 2010 at 15:58

Brian, I worked with your dad at Parkside after he came from Landgate with Trevor Jones and Colin Perks. I used to pick him up in the car along with Alf Rigby and Albert Johnson

Comment by: whups on 4th November 2010 at 00:55

fred , i dont think my dad worked at parkside but i could be wrong .he worked half his life in day-hey pits after he worked at landgate . but ther are quite a few tommy scullys in this area.

Comment by: fred foster on 11th November 2010 at 16:49

I think that I am mixing your dad up with Pat Scully another brother, I remember all the Scully's. There was Frank, John, Pat, Tom, and Maggie. Most of them worked at Stones at some time. Maggie was on the pit brow, John was a surface hand and Frank and Tom worked underground.I thnk that later on, Frank went into the hospital as a porter. Frank's wife was in Billinge Hospital at the same time as my wife, giving birth to a son. I think his name was David

Comment by: whups on 12th November 2010 at 14:07

correct fred . your on the right family . after working in the pit my uncle pat went working at billinge as a porter just like my uncle frank who was at wigan infry.
