This is Leader Street looking down towards the fields which were to form Rose Bridge High School Playing fields and eventually new property. The old Leader Street property has long since been demolished. The hill on the right is the coal slag from the former Woodshaw Colliery at Top Lock, Aspull.

Proper street.....I can just imagine the lad riding his bike delivering his Hovis loafs.

The house numbers from the left were:- 12 down to 30. I lived at no 22 until 1955. A happy childhood. The street running across the bottom is Well Street.
