A snowy scene in Downall Green, this photo was taken in the winter of 1947,and seeing the weather we are having at the moment it seemed appropriate to show it. In the background to the right the old vicarage can be seen this was built in 1838.

Hello Janice, long time no see.... Lovely photo and very appropriate, with current weather conditions being what they are... I loved the old vicarage, it's much nicer than the newer version.. I walked into that old gas lamp once, burst my nose, I guess I was too busy nattering and not looking where I was going...

A great photo Janice and has you say quite appropriate with the current weather we are having. I remember this part of Rectory road without any houses, brings back happy memories thanks Janice

Hi Janice, hope you are well. Love this photo, this must be the part of Rectory Rd that has the bungalows on now, next to the hall. Let me know if I'm wrong.
