Thats a very good painting Bennie did your Jill copy it from a photo or from memory.
It was from a black & white photo Mick but she lost the pic. I suppose the painting is better.She seems to have captured more of our grandad than I remember the photo doing.
Is Bennie/Mark Conroy the same person?!!

Mark you look just like your grandad .
My Dad Bert Curran use to have a pint in The Allison Arms after he had delivered the fruit orders. He went round in a fruit van, selling and delivering until Dec 1976, He sadly passed away 14th January 1977 aged 36
Mark or anyone, do you know the other person with Mark's grandad. My guess is Charlie Darwen,but i could be wrong. Charlie liked his pint and frequented the ALLISON ARMS. wrong. i know
Does anyone know what happened to the Alison's Arms? I remember frequenting it in the 70s / 80s (?) but don't know / can't find if it still exists / been renamed.
