Original line of Chapel Lane, taken from Railway Bridge in about 1983. Brocol House is the only thing standing today.

The building on the left opposite Brocal House,was the old law courts.On the corner opposite, was the motor tax, driving licence,register of vehicles department building,of Wigan C.B.C.
