I know where it is as I played around there often enough. It's just off Belvoir St . I had 2 friends who lived in houses around there and one who died unfortunately at 16 yrs old. Every time I see the back of the house further down I think of her.

We were all blessed with these lavatories, at the bottom of the back yard. Absolutely freezing in there, in winter, and more often than not, in winter, they were froze up too.

Would it not of been mary govan of 1 gilroy street,i went to st patricks school with her brother joe govan (deceased) mary was 17 when she passed away.

If you go on to Google Earth Street View, you can see that exact same view and all the houses are still there.

Yes that's right Eddie.... It was her grandparent's house. So very sad. We were in the same class at school. Now and again I come back here just to reminisce and it's like yesterday again.

My Grandad (Joseph Rudd) Born in 1896 was living at 3 Vauxhall Rd in 1901. The family later lived at No 16.His wife to be Mary McDonald was from 47 Schofield Lane. They were married at St Catharines Church in 1921.
