I like the buses! no "elf and safety" then, you could run for the bus and skip on, or when getting off just drop and keep running. We used to go into the Transport office at the top of town for change when we had our shop. 240 pennies to the pound in brown paper bags, they weighed a ton! The cashiers there could count them off in fours on the steel counter and never miscount.

The policeman reminds me of a late acquaintance, Mike Higham, who did his share of traffic control at that very spot.
