I was born at no. 34, the ones with the gardens in front at the top just before the field starts. Has anyone got any photos of those houses? I would love to see them. Happy days.
My Sisters and I lived at 36 Diggle ST, two of us are on the photo, sister Pat being on of the "Queens" attendents. The photo brought back happy memories of that day.

I was born at no.1 Diggle St. on 14th January 1928. Moved to no.1 Stratford St, Springfield in 1935 then moved to Queensway, Wigan in 1936. Left Queensway in 1958 and have lived in Shevington ever since.
The lady at the front of the picture is my mum Bessie Mason I am the little girl with her my sister Janis is near the front as well it is near the front of our house no.15.
My grand-dad lived at 9 Diggle Street (in the 40s to the 70s) and my uncle an aunt at 6 Diggle Street (in the 70s)
my gdad ken lives at no 2 diggle st 66yrs now still there
