The woman in the centre is Kath Fish,the colliery sister.
Frank, If i am not mistaken , the sister in the photo is the one that took over from Kath Fish,
Cath Fish died this week sometime. she was around 78 yrs old.
also passed away was Geoff Mottram who took over the mid area from John Connaughton. He was 67
Sister fish had a fine send off on the 16-2-10 at St Patricks church wigan with plenty of representatives from Parkside including Frank Reed Ronnie Silver Sid Hitchison Derek Johnson and myself and representing the canteen staff were Margery Stapleton Rita Tully Lily Smith and Racheal Manning R.I.P Sister
Sid & Derek had to leave early to go to the funeral of Geoff Motram who was being buried an hour later
thats not sister fish i think its the one before,sorry to hear geoff mattram had died i went to stoke colledge with him and got my undermananagers papers with him so sad,im now 68
Sorry Ken,It is Kath but she is with I think Agecroft or Bickershaw first aid teams taken at Parkside in early 60s. I was around about then. Sorry to here of Kath and Geoff both fine people with many memories.
Correct Allan,it is Kath Fish in the photo and it is the Parkside first aid team,with Brian Talbot second in from left.
is that brian talbut 2nd from left?
it is parkside and that is brian also the lad with his arms folded is allan entwistle i was in the team from 1966 till i went to bold in 74 .
