yes i do remember the photo graham and no my modelling career did'nt take off. lol. British coal started an advertising campaign in the national press in 1991.
Mick Whitsed from Rufford colliery, Nottinghamshire,and myself was invited to London on a photo shoot with cameraman John Claridge,in his studio.
The ads were - Meet the most successful businessman in Great Britain-The Miner- . With slogan,British Coal.The energy to succeed .Do you not remember the stick i got off the lads , when someone put the posters of me all over the pit . Shocking.

Darren was part of a good team of men to work with. Tommy Meadows was the chargeman, they were always winding somebody up! usually Jack Addison or George Thorpe.
Mash,trapjaw,Darren, i remember that as well they painted the dirt on you I believe,(bullet) was injured, tripped over the bucket warming up and was off that week,
