Lion passing Springs Branch on its way to Bold for Rocket 150, Harry Goulding at the controls.
May 1980. Can you imagine this happening on todays railway? I don't think so!

`Lion` is in the Power Hall at Manchester Science & Industry Museum.

Further to my previous comment: the `Lion` is now in Liverpool and is being pepared for display in the Museum of Liverpool, which is to be opened in 2012.

Mike. I worked for many years at Wigan as a relief signalman and am writing a book about my experiences. Would it be possible for me to include this great photograph in it?
