Two men seen in S34s return on tracklaying duties.

Looking through my records it seems that these two gents are
Tommy Newton and Billy Wright and i seem to recall they transferred to Parkside from Hapton Valley in Burnley when it closed.Maybe someone can confirm this as correct or otherwise.

I GRAHAM FANTASTIC PICS , JUST FOUND EM, GOOD MEMORIES, RECOGNISED A FEW PLACES I HAD 40 WINKS IN!!!. YES TOMMY AND BILLY, THEY WERE MAINLY DRIVAGE MEN IN S32'2 33'2 WITH PAUL TWIST & GEOFF THOMAS COLLECTIVLY KNOWN AS THE PIGS FOR SOME REASON,BIG JOHN SIMM WAS THE FITTER. WE ALL ENDED UP TALKING WITH DAFT BURNLEY ACENTS!!

they will be upset if you call them lancashire lads they where both yorkies tommy newton came from barnsley billy wright came from leeds dont know if tommy still lives in leigh or if hes gone back to yorkshire where one time he won county bodybuilding champion

you only had to look at the four of them to see why they called the pigs great lads though if i can remember correctly you had the pigs on one shift the hollywood miners ie jimmy smith and loneytunes ie george whitehead on the third shift in s33s m/g tunnel what a crew good drivage though all gone now
