This view of the double tier manriding belt comes complete with it's own ghost.Every pit is reputed to have one and Parkside is no exception.

Hi Sammy,yes this is No3 horizon manriding tunnel,the one that ran parrallel with the main horizon.Men who worked in the Wigan 4ft usually used this route whilst men working in the Lower Florida would use the loco hauled manrider and traverse E3 brow.

can anyone else see what apears to be a second ghost stood further back focus on face of first ghost what apears to be a mustach also apears to be a second mans hat in the back ground

I think that run from behind no3 pit bottom to the bend on no3 horizon it was the old loco shunting area the belt ran from pit bottom to top of Wigan mines access
