Seeing the low roof and all the things hanging from it reminded me where the helmet I kept as a souvenir of my year underground got all the scrapes from. A very evocative set of pics - the sinking of Parkside's shafts was one of the more pleasant movies shown during my training weeks.

Brings back a few memories, especially Mick O'Neill, good to see you still kicking on Mick. Fancy a couple of years down under, should be able to teach a few of the electricians I have working for me here a thing or two.

Dave Lawrenson will have been making up some rumour to wind someone up... great bloke, happy memories.
