Looks like a Mark 1 Ford Consul

Is it not a Ford Popular? slightly smaller than a Consul.

Mk 1 Consul had rounder lines than the Prefect or Anglia. It was a lot smaller than the later models, plus it was a steering column gear change.
Check Google images, you'll find quite a few on there.
(I used to repair 'em,late 50's/ early 60's);o)
