took this old bird to manchester from holyhead loads of times over the years and down the blaenau branch a few times. only failure i had on one of these was in winter when the compressor froze up on the road and i lost control pressure on a passenger train and was rescued by a 25 from chester.happy days.

Awsome Loco! Class 40's as with the 25's will never be seen again on the Branch.

Fortunately 40122 is preserved at the York Railway Museum.
