The grandfather of the late Godfrey Jones, whose photograph this was. It dates from the 1920s. Sgt Wright and his family came from Cockerham, near Lancaster. He would have been in the Lancashire Constabulary, rather than that of Wigan Borough. The station at Spring View is now closed.

My dad, Ken Stevenson was a "Special" based at Spring View. This was in the 1950's
