Springs Branch Shed Manager John Gaskell doesn't look too upset at having had to recruit young ladies to work in the Offices, as a result of men being called up to the armed forces in WW2. Photo donated to St Mary's Church by his daughter, Dorothy Harrison. John Gaskell served as Warden at the Church. He moved from 452 to 210 Warrington Road (opposite the Black Diamond pub)in September 1940.

This a shot in the dark... Anybody remember 'Dr' Robert 'Bob' Hart. He was chief 'medic' at Springs Branch around the ww2 years. He's my grandfather.
