There was a Class 40 diesel named APAPA after this ship of Elder Dempster lines. D235 or later 40035. My father in law worked for Elder Dempster and later Ocean on the Daru, and Malampus, along with others.

thanks to colin for picture on here that's my uncle john or jack as he was known to his work mates poiting outwith arm stretched jolly by name and certainly jolly by nature sadly no longer here now
