Cliff Lancaster is a name i remember from when my dad worked at Springs Branch. Other names i remember are Gordon Brown and Arthur Lewis. Does anyone remember him and better still, does anyone have any photo's of him at work. His name was Tony Price.

Thanks Derek that would be great as i don't have many photo's of him. I've been remembering some more names from his work days, Alan Mason, Bill Ralphs, Jack Ocky (Ockleshaw) and i think his brother Sid was one of my teachers at Rose Bridge.

Hi Alan, I can imagine you had a good time. My dad wasn't one to shy away from the bar as you are no doubt aware. I'm sure the landlord at the 'Old Hall' made a descent living from him and some of the others at the branch (after a hard days work of course).Did you work with him?

Hi Stephen yes I worked with Tony at the same time as Derek Gibson and I can verify what Derek said. My wife's family came from Hr Ince and they knew your family well. The names were McCracken & Welch. I can always remember the first time I worked with Tony as a young apprentice on a set of valves on a black 5, his advice was always remove the most difficult before the easy one that way you don't get hurt

Hi Alan. Our family were close friends of the Welch's (if they are the same ones you knew). They were Harry and Nellie. and had children Graham, Lynne and Gary. I havn't seen or heard from any of them in years. How they all doing?
Use my email to reply if you want.

I believe Cliff was the brother of Bennie Lancaster. Mated with Bennie in my late teens, and early 20s. Lived in Cheltenham Avenue, Lower Ince
