My great uncle Walter Smallshaw Finney at work in his sawmill in the Standish Lower Ground/Shevington area, circa 1920. He later emigrated to America.

Hello they am looking at this pic of Walter Smallshaw Finney on Wigan World I was shocked cos I have this man in my family tree,got is father as Robert Alfred Finney and is 2nd marriage is to Ellen Smallshaw.
In 1912c Walter is a Fitter Apprentice and is a Wood Sawyer and lived with is parents at 196,Standish-Lower-Ground,Wigan
