Harry Farrimond, What a superb fella, the best of the best, More than can be said for the other two creeps Prestt and Welsby, Two hated butchers who no one liked,
I worked at Greens Butchers at the same time as these three, Like previous comment, Only Harry Farrimond would ever help you out if you needed any,a true gentleman, the other two would not give you the time of day, Prestt and Welsby must have been two of the poorest and most disliked butchers in the market,
Richard Prestt was related to the Green's
I worked in Market at the same time as these three, Only one decent chap on here and thats Harry Farrimond, The other two Presst and Welsby where a pair of creeps, Green bought Welsby a small house as a gift Welsby thought nobody knew, Welsby and Presst where allowed as much free meat as they liked along with another couple of Greens favourite butchers, but some of they younger butchers who worked damned hard would not even get a sausage of Johnie Green, seen on here where someone is saying Green tighter than cramp.
That's my grandad! On my mothers side. Worked at Greens all his life as far as I know. My mum married Bill Worsley who ran Gibson and Youngs in the Market Hall until just a couple of years ago. Grandad lived with us at home for the last few years of his life. He outlived my gran, Jenny, by many years
