No I wouldn't Ozy, as it is only what somebody says and anybody can put whatever they want on the internet in the hope that everybody will believe it. For a start, there was never a pit in Garston but there was more than one loco named Robert so who knows.

The builder's plate would provide the clue. No.1600 is the number given to 'Robert' by Avonside Engine Co, meaning it was the 1.600 loco built by them. The loco was still in the scrapyard until at least 2014 and, according to the Industrial Railway Society, was bought privately with a view to restoration. I haven't found yet where it went!
