There was a Miners Strike in 1912 so I would think this is the time the photograph was taken.

Excellent picture Ron. It reminds me of myself sentenced to shovelling coal into the basement boiler at St John's School 1950's, Brick Kiln Lane!

They look like Lancashire boilers.
