PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN IN 1939
My dad was in the Local Authority Fire Brigade from 1940, becoming the National Fire Service in 1941. He served until January 1945. Does anyone have pictures from that period?

Stan Park, Fourth from the left, back row. Served at Wigan through to retirement in 1967. Shortly after this was taken they would be deployed to Manchester, Liverpool and Coventry during the blitz.
