I have a small round tin of Potters Foot Paste, It must be 6o years old & still half full, My mother bought it to remove a Varuca from my foot, I cant put a photogragph on but the tin has a blue lid,
One product that I consider essential to have in the bathroom, is Confrey Oil. Oil of the plant, commonly known as Knit bone. I remember as a young lad, I badly sprained my ankle, it was very badly swollen. My dad boiled some Confrey leaves, and covered my ankle with them, securing them onto my ankle, before I went to bed. Next morning, no swelling, and no pain whatsoever.
Albert, I too keep a bottle of Comfrey Oil handy and also a bottle of distilled Witch Hazel that is kept in the fridge. Potter's also did a Comfrey ointment and tablets and another excellent product they did for muscle sprains etc. was Nine Rubbing Oils.
Tomato growers leave Comfrey leaves to soak in water, later they use the water as a natural liquid fertiliser.
Cyril. Sorry for putting a N in Comfrey, when it should have been a M.
Apparently Comfrey, it’s origin is Latin, confervere, (‘ HEAL’). I remember in the film. ‘ The Last of the Mohicans’ ‘. The young actress was hit by a musket shot, and her wound was dressed, using comfrey leaves.
My sister Jean worked there for many years
My stepdaughter Paula used to work there.
