Some good lads there, Aubrey!
I served with them all apart from Maurice, who retired only weeks before I came to Wigan.

Back in 1969 I drove for Osram (GEC) and delivered all the Flood lighting to light up Caernarfon Castle where this photo was taken. Didn't get an invite though !!

Very good photograph Aubrey. I suppose you took the photograph?. I believe shortly afterwards, Wigan Borough Police was amalgamated with the Lancashire Constabulary.

Albert - this photo would have been taken shortly after the amalgamation.
Prince Charles's Investiture took place on July 1st 1969, and the Wigan Borough Force became part of Lancashire Constabulary three months earlier, on 1st April.
