I did my underground training at Low Hall and Wigan Junction colliery. and my shotfiring training at a place near Haresfinch. We had a mock up tunnel with holes to stem in on a wooden face. The pic reminded me of it
Terry, do you remember driving the loco when Jim Lovatt lost his leg? I was in the back cab. I got a safety tie from Jim Wormwell for dressing the wound which apparently saved his life.
