I remember the depot well, but in the 1960s.

Lanry! advert on bus. Not seen that for some time.

Remember this well. My Gran lived 100 yds. away on Liverpool Rd. opposite Farrimond's shop. We used to catch the Trolley Bus from Ashton. On the return journey to Ashton the trolley would invariably jump off when negotiating the left turn into Templeton Rd.

There was a very good bottle dump at the rear of the building.

Now this does bring back memories to me. My father Stan Richards worked from this Depot from after WW2 until his death in 1983. Many times have I crossed that yard. Thanks for posting.

I had relatives who lived close by, as well as friends from Chapel. Lovely memories.

The Lanry advert was the trade name for a bleach and was the composite names of the manufacturers aLAN& harRY Brown. We used to sell it in our shop.

Such a shame it had to go, and LUT had to go too.
