John Whites tower and chimney behind the signal box. This picture must be in the twenties.I was very familiar with this area fron the mid thirties and the tippler was,nt there then

i was brought up from 1943 in that area and i don't remember tippler i remember turntable i learned to swim at the side of that bridge it was localy known as sandy bottoms in mid 50s

Wasn't there a turntable about 100 yds to the right of the tipper?

The turntable would be on other side of the bridge from the tippler. behind the Sandy bottoms
