Back in the day, whenever you'd been away from Wigan for any length of time, you always felt a warm glow when you returned and saw your first Wigan Corporation bus. It meant you were back home. Silly, I suppose, but indicative of a certain pride in your home town as well!

Pauline, think the pram shop was Howard's and was the same firm who at one time had a toy/bike/sports gear shop in Mesnes St
