It also states that "Bulldog Tools have been made at Clarington Forge, Wigan, since 1780. We have the only full time forge still making spades and forks within the UK."
I grew up about 400 yeards from Clarington Forge and am please to see its still going. Incidentally I remember my dad taking me to an exhibition in the old Drill Hall about 1962. Bulldog had a stall on which were displays of miniature copies of their range of tools. We were told that these were made by apprentices as part of their training. Anyone know if this was true?
