From the headboards, that looks like one or the special RCTS railtours organised towards the end of steam.
These trips are now well recorded on the Internet, so with a bit of Googling.....
- Train is the "South Lancashire Rail Tour" on Saturday 24 September 1966.
- Loco was 45154 "Lanarkshire Yeomanry" throughout.

What an age to live through,the age of steam, especially watching these mighty, steam powered, workhorses. It must have been a real honour, to have the privilege, to drive one, even though it was your employment.
