thats how I remember Stuart always a big smile great picture Dianne.
i knew the whole family virtually all my life . it really was a sad day on his passing.
Hello Dianne,
Firstly I am very saddened at Stuart's passing. I have only just found out and is a great shock. Dianne both at Bold and Bickershaw I worked alongside Stuart on the night shift at Bold when he was a chock fitter then at Bickershaw when he became the Locomotive Fitter. Dianne at Bickershaw I was the Loco driver and I used to ask management when working the weekend to get Stuart out because it needs a fitter to look at the loco because of a breakdown even though nothing was wrong with whatsoever with the loco, but it got Stuart 12 hour shifts on a weekend. Dianne Stuart was a true gentleman and a good friend in those times but we parted company when the pits closed down. I again am so sorry that he has passed and again God has taken another good man from this earth whilst evil still exists.
Thanks for your lovely comments about Stuart I do remember when you used to ring him up when we lived in old road I miss him so much but he was really poorly and needed a lung transplant which he was terrified he didn't like hospicals thanks so much Dianne xx
