Top front page edition of the Evening Post and Chronicle, Monday January 18th 1971. The S.W.Lancashire edition of the Lancashire Evening Post, Preston. This newspaper was printed and published at Brock Mill, for the first time on the 4th October 1965.

Most Adverts was from Preston and around that area, not from Wigan. The football Pink was good though.

Ref the smaller article 'Debbie' points the way. I think this was 'Decimal Debbie'- the country went decimal 4 weeks later and she was the figurehead for the P&C's introduction to decimalisation - ie how everything was changing - what the new money was worth, translating back to what we all were used to. She was at Notre Dame, either one or two years ahead of me.

A poor quality newspaper the Evening Post compered to the Wigan Observer, infact, the WO was the best printed newspaper around at that time...no other paper could touch them.
