Wow Terry that is some collection of photo's you've put up!
A good historical reference for anyone, in the future, wanting to know what the last deep mine in the Wigan Borough looked like.

The Packet pub at the bottom end of Plank Lane.
Some time after closure a haulage firm named C.Broome. took it over and used it as their base.
In the background are No4 and No3 pits
