This jogged my memory. I'd completely forgotten the service which took the Beech Hill route from Wigan town centre but terminated at Barnsley St.

This is a Leyland bus,with bodywork by Massey Brothers,Enfield St.The photo was taken i think on Lamberhead Ind.Est?It was a favourite place for Massey official photographs.To the right of the bus in the background,could that be Summersales mine?
