Don't understand AP comment ??? Lovely pic of a bye-gone era.
How many times have we run for the bus..the driver and conductor can see you BUT still wont stop!!!I hated it when they wouldn't stop for mums with prams and kiddies, and clearly the crew could see the running for the bus.

This weekend: all round the coastline!
But Windy ARBOUR is adjacent to M6 tween Pem and Billinge
Straight up Billinge road, Syd, past Winstanley.
No there isn't a harbour in Wigan, there isn't really a pier either.

Windy Arbour is just a name. Windermere Road is on many housing estates, but there's no Lake!

I suspect there was an arbour.
There was/is a pier, but NO Arbour.
Arbour, before becoming the name for a garden feature, indicated a glade shaded by trees. I suspect that there was one, though landscapes change of course.
